I have a bunch of graphics on my computer, that i would love to print out for scrapbooking. (I bought them, were sent to me in email) They are very small images, all GIF. (2.49 KB or 2,552 bytes) They are no bigger when I upload them than the size of my finger in height.

But when I go to print them, I have options to chose from. Either full page, 3×5, etc. When I try to print them wallet size, so that they will be closet to their actual size, the cuts off half the heads and arms.

Is there any way to fix this?

You are probably using Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to open and print those pictures, right?

Use another graphic program - like Paint which is in Accessories. You can even use Internet Explorer - right-click on your picture, select Open With and choose IE or Paint.

There are so many premade scrapbook pages and so many software programs for the home scrapper already out there, plus the scrapbook stores, which offer this service and sell these products, I would think making a living off of it at home would be difficult.

You might be able to make some money at it and as a craft/hobby, satisfy your need to be artistic and creative at the same time, but as for making a living at it, I'd guess no.

But don't let me stop you. Try it on a small scale first and see. If you are good at it and can market yourself and your products well, you might just succeed. And wouldn't that be great?!

Good luck!

And how can i make a photo mat using adobe photoshop cs2

Technically, all images are rectangular. Therefore, you can't make your image round, but you can make it APPEAR round. To do this open your image in photoshop then select the marquee tool (press "M" or find it on the tool palette). One of the marquee tools is an oval. Holding the Shift button down makes the oval a circle tool. Using your mouse, and holding down the shift button, select the area of your photo that you want to be circular and then release your mouse button. It probably won't look right the first time, so just try again. When the circle is where you want it, go to the select menu on the top tool bar and press inverse selection. Now everything EXCEPT the circle is highlighted. Press CTRL-X or cut from the edit menu. The background disappears. Now, here's where it gets a little tricky. Where are you going to use the image? Will the background be a solid color, a pattern, or another photo? If the scrapbook page has a solid color for the background, that's easy, color the background with the right color in photoshop. If the background is not solid, you need to make a transparent area on your image. To do this, save your image as a PNG or GIF with transparency on. I know these steps might be complicated for a newbie so I will post a how-to video on my website for you when I get home tonight. Good luck and check back later tonight for my tutorial video.

I saw this craft/scrapbooking stencil cutter on an infomercial. It hooked up to the computer and looked like a printer. You entered stuff on the computer and it cut out the shapes. It was really impressive and had a web site. I wonder if anyone knows it's name and site?

Are you thinking of the Cricut?

I need one that is fast and has enough memory because I do a lot of scrapbooking , and print out a lot of pictures. I want one that has a lot of memory.

i have heard from many people (and stores) say that HP computers are the best. i have an hp computer and have had it maybe over a year or so and the monitor went out..they wouldn't do anything to fix it so i had to get a new one. you might try Dell or Toshiba. i just got a Dell and i love it. :)

I recently ordered a scrapbooking kit from Broderbund. It's Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer and costs about $20 US. I like it because there are lots of pre-designed pages to pick from. All you do is pick your photos (uploaded to your computer); you can edit them if needed. The pages also have places for your journaling, you can add embellishments, and then save it on a CD, as a .pdf, or print it. It also has sound and video features to make your pages "come to life". I haven't tried everything yet, but I think it will be fun. Hope this helps you!

I am looking into buying a software program to do digital scrapbooking with. I own a Mac but since it’s a brand new I also have Windows installed on it. I prefer to use the Mac part of the computer.

I use PhotoMix on my Mac which is a Windows software and it won’t work on a Mac (unless you have a Windows emulator). After I got a Windows emulator it works great for me.

I need someone to give me advice {preferably someone who's done it} step by step. How you started etc…your general experience. I want to start a website/blog where people can downlaod my kits for free or minimal fee and just wondering how to go about it or should I just start asking established srapbooking sites to display my kits??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

An0nym0us does give basic steps in getting the site known.

As for the sale process, once your site is presentable, you can use a service like Juzaz EasyPay ( http://easypay.juzaz.com ) to process the payments through Paypal.

This way you don't have to worry about anything else than the design and advertising.

It's a class. They will teach you. I don't think you need to show them anything.
